CEOforLIFE PNRR Task Force

Milan, 15 April 2025—The CEOforLIFE PNRR Task Force, an initiative launched by the CEOforLIFE community in collaboration with LUISS Guido Carli University, aims to actively support the implementation of Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

As part of the Research and Innovation group, CEOforLIFE and Sanofi organize the roundtable “Creating a Vital Ecosystem (and creating value) for Innovation and Sustainability.”

President of the National Center for the Development of Gene Therapy and RNA-based Drugs, Prof. Rosario Rizzuto is among those to participate in the roundtable as he shares best practices in a strategic discussion on the long-term national vision that leverages enabling factors and a systemic approach to improve innovation, governance, access to cutting-edge technologies and therapies, and global competitiveness.

The Task Force brings together over 100 CEOs from Italian and multinational companies, university students, and institutional representatives, structured into six thematic groups aligned with the PNRR’s core missions:

  • Digitalization, innovation, and cybersecurity
  • Ecological transition
  • Sustainable mobility
  • Education and research
  • Social inclusion and cohesion
  • Health

These working groups are committed to developing concrete projects that address the challenges outlined in the PNRR, while promoting inclusive and sustainable growth. For example, in November 2022, a focus group on Missions 5 and 6 addressed issues related to social inclusion, cohesion, and health.

A related initiative is the Task Force on Prevention, Health, and Welfare, organized with WellMakers. This group fosters collaboration among CEOs and stakeholders to expand collective intelligence networks and promote sustainable business synergies in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
