Health Innovation Show 2025: Viaggio nella salute tra innovazione e medicina sociale

Rome, 4 June 2025 – The third edition of the Health Innovation Show, an annual event dedicated to advancing healthcare innovation, returns with a renewed focus on social medicine and technological progress. Promoted by the Fondazione Mesit (Foundation for Social Medicine and Technological Innovation), the event aims to foster meaningful dialogue among experts, researchers, institutions, and industry stakeholders by exploring why innovation is a cornerstone of sustainable, equitable, and universal healthcare.

At a time of growing pressure on global health systems, this year’s edition places social medicine at the heart of the agenda, promoting healthcare models that integrate cutting-edge technologies while staying grounded in the values of efficiency, equity, and public service.

The event will feature Prof. Rosario Rizzuto, President of the National Center, in the roundtable discussion:
“Investing in Clinical Research: Innovative Trends and Challenges for a More Competitive System.”

Prof. Rizzuto will discuss how the National Center addresses the critical role of public-private collaboration in accelerating clinical research across Italy, thanks to its pioneering work in establishing an integrated model of experimentation and innovation. The National Center stands as a compelling case study in how advanced biotechnologies—particularly gene therapy and RNA-based medicines—can be translated into meaningful clinical outcomes, while maintaining regulatory, ethical, and economic sustainability.

The event will bring together a broad spectrum of thought leaders and institutions to share impactful advances in diagnostics, therapeutics, and healthcare models, including:

  • Roberta Pellegrini, Secretary, Clinical Trial Working Group, Ministry of Health
  • Flora Romano, Italian Society of Clinical Pharmacy (SIFAC)
  • Giorgio Ferrari, Health Value Translation Lead, Sanofi
  • Mila De Iure, Director General, Fondazione Mesit
  • Marcello Cattani, President and CEO, Sanofi Italy
  • Anna Maria Bernini, Minister of University and Research

Prof. Rizzuto will lend his voice to the Health Innovation Show by highlighting how technology is reshaping prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care delivery in today’s healthcare landscape.
